January marks Thyroid Awareness Month. Hypothyroidism is frequently seen condition in my office, in this condition the thyroid gland is unable to produce enough thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormone is one of the main players in running the body’s metabolism. Symptoms of hypothyroidism include fatigue, weakness, weight gain, dry hair & skin, hair loss, cold intolerance to name a few. The severity of symptoms experienced can vary from patient to patient.
Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day. 28 million people have lost their life due to this disease. We can only make progress if programs supporting AIDS awareness and organizations providing treatment are backed by strong financial contributions.
