Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day. 28 million people have lost their life due to this disease. We can only make progress if programs supporting AIDS awareness and organizations providing treatment are backed by strong financial contributions. It is estimated that 33 million people worldwide are living with HIV currently.
How can you make a difference today? How are you honoring World AIDS Day? A few celebrities have gotten together to raise money. They are staging their “Digital Deaths” by logging off all Social Media sites and urging their fans to donate money to support Alicia Key’s charity – Keep a Child Alive. This organization provides antiretroviral drugs and medical treatment to children living with AIDS. Celebrities who are staging their “Digital Deaths” will stay offline until 1 million dollars are donated to this organization.
Make a statement by staging your own digital death or donate to this cause.
